Yehliu Geopark
Yehliu Geopark, also known as Yehliu Scenic Area, is a cape extending from the remaining ridges of Datun Mountain into the sea. Shaped by weathering, marine erosion, and crustal movements, it has created unique landscapes such as mushroom rocks, sea-eroded caves, tofu rocks, candle-shaped rocks, and potholes. It is an internationally renowned natural scenic attraction. Among them, the “Queen’s Head” is the most representative landmark of Yehliu and a popular photo spot; the “Cute Princess,” with a shape resembling a ponytail, is regarded as the successor to the Queen’s Head.
Yin-Yang Sea
Famous for its unique golden-yellow and deep blue seawater, it is a special geographical景觀 along Taiwan’s northeastern coast. Due to the large amount of pyrite in the nearby Jinguashi mountains, the Yin-Yang Sea displays its distinctive yellow-blue gradient beauty. The seawater in the bay appears yellow-brown because of natural minerals, forming a sharp contrast with the blue seawater of the open sea, truly resembling a natural color palette.
Jiufen Old Street
The most impressive feature is undoubtedly the old street area. When night falls, red lanterns on both sides of the street illuminate the ancient stairways, reflecting softly with the warm yellow lights of residential houses. This scene freezes the old-time mountain town streetscape, filling the entire Jiufen mountain town with a strong traditional atmosphere.
Shifen Station
Along the railway, residential houses stand closely side by side. While strolling along the old street beside the tracks, one can feel the strong classical and nostalgic atmosphere it contains. It is also a filming location for the well-known Taiwanese movie You Are the Apple of My Eye.
Shifen Waterfall
Shifen Waterfall is a magnificent waterfall located in the Pingxi District of Taiwan, reaching a height of 20 meters. Surrounded by lush green vegetation, it is a popular destination for hiking and nature lovers.
